Research

Part of my thesis involves examining the value of anonymity for political freedom. From a political standpoint, most people view anonymity either as a threat or as a temporary means. I argue that there is at least one form of anonymity that is intrinsically good in the achievement of political freedom. My argument relies on the political writings of Hegel, Ricoeur and Havel (some Derrida and Arendt too).

Another part of my thesis aims to develop a phenomenology of anonymity with the help of Schütz, Merleau-Ponty and Fanon.

I am also interested in Dilthey and Heidegger.
